  • 1 Ticket to attend the Event (event day ticket depends on the shift/time you sign up for)

  • A Taste Washington Branded Volunteer shirt, to be worn only while volunteering. The volunteer shirt will need to be removed when you are off your shift and attending the event.

Shift Sign Up & Ticketing for The Grand Tasting: 

Please ensure that you read the description for the roles prior to signing up to ensure they will be a good fit for you at the event!

Please note that once your volunteer shift has ended and you plan to use your complimentary ticket, there is no separate or special entrance for volunteers. All volunteer-issued tickets require entry through the General Admission line, and you must wait with other guests to enter the festival.

    • Thursday March 19th + Friday March 20th Grand Tasting Volunteers 

      • You will get your choice to attend The Grand Tasting on Saturday March 21st 

      • or  The Grand Tasting on Sunday March 22nd. 

      • *ensure that you fill out this section as you sign up for your shift*

    • Thursday March 19th - Pacific Standard Event Assistant (12pm - 4pm)

      • You will get your choice to attend The Pacific Standard following your shift 

      • OR to attend The Grand Tasting on March 21st or 22nd. 

    • Thursday March 19th - Pacific Standard - Culinary Assistant (5pm - 9pm)

      • You will get your choice to attend The Grand Tasting on Saturday March 21st or Sunday March 22nd.

      • Tickets will be handed off at the end of your shift!

    • Friday March 20th - The New Vintage Event Assistant (11:30am - 3:30pm)

      • You will get your choice to attend The New Vintage following your shit 

      • OR to attend The Grand Tasting on March 21st or 22nd. 

    • Saturday March 21st Seminar Grand Tasting Volunteers (shifts occurring at (9:30am to 12:00pm)

      • Please note this event does NOT occur at the WAMU Event Center. It is at The Embassy Suites. It is a 13 minute walk to the WAMU Event Center. 

      • You will work this event and have your choice of attending The Grand Tasting right after on Saturday the 21st or on Sunday the 22nd. 

    • Saturday March 21st PRE-Event Grand Tasting Volunteers (shifts occurring between 8AM to 2PM)  

      • You can choose to attend The Grand Tasting following your shift.

      • or you can attend The Grand Tasting Sunday March 22nd. 

      • *ensure that you fill out this section as you sign up for your shift*

    • Saturday March 21st IN-Event Grand Tasting Volunteers (shifts occurring between 11am to 7:30pm) 

      • You will receive a ticket to attend The Grand Tasting on Sunday March 22nd after you complete your shift. Shifts occurring at this time do not have the option to attend on Saturday March 21st.

    • Sunday March 22nd PRE-Event Grand Tasting Volunteers (shifts occurring from 8AM to 2PM)

      • You will attend The Grand Tasting following your shift on Sunday March 22nd.

    • Sunday March 22nd IN-Event Grand Tasting Volunteers (shifts occurring from 11am to 7:30PM) 

      • You will get to attend The Grand Tasting on Saturday March 21st (this requires a pre-purchase of a discounted ticket that will be refunded within 48hrs of completing your shift on Sunday March 22nd) (codes for discounted tickets will be made available to use for ticket purchase as we receive signups) 

      • *ensure that you fill this section out as you are signing up for your shift*


    • Important Reminder for In Event Sunday Volunteers:

      • You will purchase your Saturday Grand Tasting ticket using the unique link provided within 1 week of signup.

      • You will use your discounted ticket to enjoy the event on Saturday, 3/21.

      • You are responsible for showing up for your full shift on Sunday, 3/22.

      • Once you have checked in and out of your shift on Sunday, you will receive a refund within 48 hours after the event.

      • If you do not show up or do not complete your shift, you will NOT receive a refund for your Saturday ticket.

Volunteer Requirements: 

  • All volunteers must be 21+

  • Volunteers must check in at the Volunteer Area and receive credentials before entering the Exhibition Floor for their shift. 

  • Volunteers must complete the 4-5 hour shift they signed up for in order to receive their free Ticket/Refund. 

  • Volunteers are NOT allowed to drink alcoholic beverages during their shift. Please wait till you attend as a guest to enjoy the Wine vendors. Volunteers will be removed and not receive their Ticket/Refund if they choose to ignore this requirement. 

  • Volunteers are NOT to enjoy food from Culinary vendors during their shift. Please wait till you attend as a guest to enjoy the Culinary vendors. Volunteers will be removed and not receive their Ticket/Refund if they choose to ignore this requirement. 

  • Volunteers are not allowed to wear their volunteer shirts after their shift while enjoying the festival. Please bring other clothing to wear while attending the event. 

  • Volunteers are to stay with their assigned Volunteer Lead unless reassigned to another SE Productions Lead. 

  • Volunteers are to check out at the Volunteer Area in order to receive your Tickets/Refunds to attend the Event. If you do not check out tickets/refunds will not be awarded.
